The Role
Strategy without research is just hallucination. We need someone who deals in facts, insights, and executable direction.
As the Strategy Lead at Impact3, you are responsible for Research-Driven Strategy. You are a senior individual contributor who excels at deep research across the 4 C's: Customer, Category, Competitors, and Company.
You don't just hand over a deck and walk away. You translate deep insights into sharp positioning, clear narratives, and executable go-to-market strategies that guide our execution teams. You're the Strategic Gatekeeper, reviewing output across PR, social, creative, and product to ensure every piece of work ladders back to the core objective and the right pillar (narrative, brand experience, or growth).
- The 4 C's Deep Dive: Lead research and insight creation. Develop a clear understanding of target users, analyze category dynamics (whitespace and constraints), track competitors, and synthesize this into clear strategic insights that drive decisions.
- Positioning & Narrative Architecture: Translate research into direction. Define positioning that is opinionated, differentiated, and defensible. Build the messaging frameworks that ensure consistency across all agency services.
- Full-Funnel GTM Strategy: Build strategies that connect awareness, adoption, and usage. Provide the strategic inputs that execution teams can act on immediately to drive growth.
- Client Strategic Ownership: Own the strategic relationship. This includes leading discovery, creating and owning Quarterly OKRs, and leading Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to help clients understand what matters, what doesn't, and why.
- The "Quality Control" Gatekeeper: Raise the quality of all agency output. Review work across PR, social, creative, and product, providing direct, actionable feedback. Identify gaps and inconsistencies before the work ships.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- 6-10+ Years Experience: Proven background in strategy, consulting, product strategy, or senior marketing roles. You have done this at a high level before. Agency experience required.
- Fintech or Onchain Finance Required. You can take a fintech roadmap or an onchain finance whitepaper and turn it into a clear, compelling market position. You understand how regulated and reputation-sensitive industries communicate. Background in either domain works; experience across both is ideal. Crypto-native fluency (DeFi, L1/L2 dynamics, the broader Web3 ecosystem) is a strong plus.
